The majority of guests who pass through the Disney gates will form opinions on the rides they get to experience. For teens, Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror is exciting. The kids may steer clear of Haunted Mansion with an imminent doom, as I once did. However I feel average guest may not take the time to fully appreciate any Disney attraction, or even the parks in general, for what it really is: an artistic experience. Walt Disney was in the film industry and when he built Disneyland, he was clearly in the market to bring the experiences of his films to the guests. Therefore, I feel that analyzing attractions lend themselves to best be analyzed as a film which is exactly what I plan to do in these articles: taking common film terms and techniques and use them to analyze the experience of Disney theme park attractions.
